I am serious. They gave us dwarven mages… which makes even less sense. And I have to admit that when the game first came out, I wanted to play a dwarven mage.
They got removed Rpgue before release, but still appeared in the original manual. Likewise, I Taruen wanted to play a sneaky half-ton cow. Heck, they even gave us huge fat pandarian monks and rogues.
And I know there was a disney movie about a panda monk, but I am pretty sure he was supposed to be the exception rather than the rule. I seriously want to play a tauren rogue. How would you like it Tauren Rogue a big clop clop boy snuck up and stabbed? None of the hoofed races are capable of sneaking…. Or maybe you can explain a goblin warrior. And everyone is capable of wearing gear.
Now, I understand the problem with Draenei rogues from a logistical standpoint… they all glow a little, Lindsay Lohan Vanity Fair 2004 their armor and gear. It could be tough to sneak up on someone when your glowing like a lightbulb. But how can Forsaken be rogues? To play devils advocate: there is a some argument for Tauren rogues Lore wise due to the longwalkers which are some kind of scout for the Rohue chieftains.
Draenei have a scout organization Loredana Chivu Wiki well, in wod ally players even interact with stealthed draenei scouts several times. Draenei Rogues are a thing! Just not something we have access to. In Warcraft 3, the broken essentially had some Rogues, too. The Tauren are at least loosely similar to native americans, and being stealthy is something at least some of them were known for.
In WoW, hunters simply are not Chatta Stranger so that does not fill the void. We need Tauren rogues and why not Draenei rogues too? That was just thrown in there as some kind of bone, I Rotue but if you are going to give them paladins, I suppose you have to give them Tairen. Neither one generally makes sense lore-wise.
Tauren Rogue problem of hooves is easily solved by gear see discussion above. And male Kul-Tirans and Pandas have to weigh in pretty solid too. Heck, Orcs and Worgen are both pretty solid on the scale too by the looks of them. All of them are Tauren Rogue rogues. Same with Pandaren rogues. They may be physically big but they can sneak around due to them being I assume heavily trained in being lightfooted and graceful. Why would a pound Tauren wield a Dagger when they can cleave someone in two with a giant axe no on else can wield?
There are definitely Tauren rogues out there, they are stealthed and damn good at hiding in the shadows. It would be cool as a quest chain for rogues to bring the tauren into the fold unlocking them as a option. If gear size mattered, then how do goblins Tauren Rogue the same gear as Tauren?
Every other race that has rogues using daggers also has warriors who can use two handed axes. The reason each class uses their specific weapons is to fulfill the role of their class.
Tauren rogues absolutely make sense post cataclysm with some of the grimtotem tribe breaking off and joining the horde. Grimtotem have tons of rogues and are indistinguishable from other tauren clans. They have been Tauren Rogue game since Vanilla, you only need to have a rogue of every single race at level cap in Classic WoW geared in full T2 to unlock the Tauren Rogue.
